Pre-beta note
Recent BlizzCon/demo community reports describe a two-part character name system with a first name and a family/surname. Blizzard has officially announced Early Name Reservation, but its public announcement does not yet explain the surname rules. Until beta confirms the exact behavior, this generator supports both single-name and full-name modes.

This generator is built specifically for World of Warcraft: Forever rather than as a generic fantasy-name spinner. Choose a race, gender, class, naming style and preferred length, then generate batches of candidates. Race icons and available class combinations come from the current Forever race data used across this site.
Single names or full names
Classic World of Warcraft traditionally uses a single character name. Community reports from the BlizzCon 2026 Forever demo, however, describe first-name and family-name fields. Because Blizzard's published Early Name Reservation announcement does not yet document the final surname rules, both formats remain available here until beta gives us a definitive answer.
How to find a good WoW name
Start with the race, then use class and tone as flavor rather than forcing literal class words into the name. Generate a larger batch, save the strongest candidates, and say them out loud. Short names are easier to recognize in raids and PvP; longer names can work especially well for role-play characters and the reported full-name format.
