Why this matters: the panel describes updated lighting, water, global illumination, volumetric particles, real-time shadows and an SD/HD model toggle. Those changes make it especially risky to assume that a current Classic requirement table is identical to Forever’s final requirements.

What is confirmed about graphics?

BlizzCon panel reporting says the art direction remains Classic while the underlying presentation receives visual upgrades. Character models can reportedly switch between SD and HD, and reporting mentions upgrades to rivers, fog, lighting, water and shadows.

How to prepare without buying hardware blindly

Wait for Blizzard’s official requirements and the beta client before making a Forever-specific upgrade decision. Once beta begins, this page will track client size, graphics options and tested performance separately from official minimums.
