What is World of Warcraft: Forever?
Blizzard describes Forever as a new third World of Warcraft experience alongside Modern and Classic, returning to the first-year / Vanilla-era world while opening new paths and unseen corners of Azeroth.
When does WoW Forever release?
November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST.
When is the beta?
September 17 through October 21, 2026.
Is WoW Forever included with a WoW subscription?
Yes. Blizzard says the base Forever experience is included with an active World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time.
Do I need an upgrade pack?
Not for the base Forever experience. Optional packs add benefits such as Skyborne access, early name reservation, beta access, cosmetics and other extras.
What is the level cap?
Announcement coverage describes Forever as a level-60 long-term branch rather than a progression through the historical expansion ladder.
How many new quests are there?
Blizzard says more than 1,000 new quests.
How many new dungeons launch with Forever?
Blizzard confirms nine new dungeons.
How many new raids launch with Forever?
Blizzard confirms two new raids. Panel reporting identifies Hyjal Summit as a 20-player raid and Barrow Deeps as a 10-player raid.
What are the new WoW Forever zones?
Blizzard’s opening recap says three new zones. Panel coverage names Mount Hyjal, Zephras Isle, Riverglades and Shen’Dralas as launch regions, so this portal preserves the distinction between official zone count and panel terminology.
Who are the Skyborne?
Skyborne are the new playable race. Blizzard officially confirms their Zephras Isle starting experience; panel reporting says they can choose Horde or Alliance.
Can Skyborne be Horde or Alliance?
Panel reporting says players choose Horde or Alliance. Same-day reports conflict on the exact Shaman/Mage faction mapping, so we leave that specific matrix unverified until Blizzard publishes it.
Will WoW Forever have flying?
BlizzCon panel reporting says no flying, as part of keeping the world grounded.
Will zones scale to my level?
