WoW Forever First-Session Preparation Checklist
Prepare your class, group, schedule and testing notes without relying on unconfirmed leveling routes.
Before you log in
Check the current access requirements and schedule on the linked release and beta pages. Confirm that your account can access the version you intend to play. Avoid buying an upgrade solely on the basis of an old screenshot or community comment.
Prepare your group
Agree on voice chat, language, play times and who prefers each role. Decide whether you want to stay at a similar level or progress independently between group sessions. Pick a backup meeting time so a delayed login does not derail the entire evening.
Plan the next few levels
Choose a class and sketch a low-level talent allocation. Keep a shortlist of abilities and interactions to try. A short plan is easier to revise than a complete leveling route built around assumptions about unfinished content.
Make dungeon time useful
Compare the dungeon level ranges and gather available quests before traveling. Confirm the entrance and your group composition in the game. Published level ranges are planning guidance; they do not automatically establish a minimum entry level or guarantee that a particular group will succeed.
Keep useful test notes
When you encounter a problem, record your level, talent allocation, target, action and what happened. Include the game build number if it is visible. A reproducible sequence is more useful than a vague statement that an ability feels wrong.
Review at the end of the session
Save the build you actually used, update your group plans and note which questions still need testing. Keep observed behavior separate from expectations based on another version of WoW.
