Blizzard details WoW Forever editions, beta window and name reservation
The official pre-purchase article fills in the dates and access rules that were missing from the opening-ceremony recap.
Beta runs September 17 through October 21
Blizzard says the World of Warcraft: Forever beta begins September 17, 2026 and runs through October 21. Guaranteed beta access is included with the Skyborne Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection.
Launch is November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST
Access to the base Forever experience is included with an active World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time. Optional upgrade editions add Skyborne access, cosmetics and other benefits.
Early Name Reservation
Upgrade purchasers can create and customize up to three characters from October 27 through November 3. Names are reserved first-come, first-served.
Launch-week friend codes
The Heroic Pack includes one Invite-A-Friend launch code, while the Epic Pack and Forever Collection include three total. Eligible invited friends can access Forever from November 4 through November 11.
