Is WoW Forever “Classic Plus”?

“Classic Plus” has been the community shorthand for a version of WoW that keeps the original-era foundation but adds new content instead of simply moving through The Burning Crusade, Wrath and later expansions again.

Forever matches that broad idea: Blizzard says it returns to WoW's first year, explores unseen corners of Azeroth and creates new paths with new zones, quests, dungeons, raids and a new race. Major gaming outlets covering the reveal are also describing it as Blizzard's answer to the Classic+ concept.
